ROC Cafe ParkheadROC Café Parkhead

The emphasis at the ROC Café Parkhead is on building relationships with the young people and between agencies, and challenging the gang boundaries and territorialism in the area – as a result, the Café will circulate between three venues across the community. Launched on in February, the ROC Café is going from strength to strength. Ph team

The Café is led by John Craig, Parkhead Nazarene Church’s Associate Pastor, in partnership with other youth service providers in the area. Parkhead Youth Project, Playbusters, The Message Trust and Urban Fox all have a stake in the café, as well as Scottish Fire & Rescue and Police Scotland. With pool, table tennis, a games console, crafts and other sports and games on offer, the young people have settled in well.
